Temecula Valley Polo Club is proud to announce the De Portola Wine Trail as an official sponsor for the 2013 season which began two weeks ago. It was announced today by Temecula Valley Polo Club President and Founder, Geraldine Strunsky.
“I'm so excited to have Temecula Valley's De Portola Wine Trail's 10 boutique wineries sponsor their award-winning products for our events at the club,” said Geraldine Strunsky. “These local wineries are in the closest proximity of the polo grounds at Galway Downs, and they all have an excellent reputation and a popular following within our community.”
Polo attendees will also have the opportunity to bask in the richness of Southern California wine country as they witness the grace of polo on Friday evenings, or Saturday daytime matches. Every match is open to the public and to social members. In addition, event dates are also available for organizations wishing have a catered affair during our weekly polo matches. These events will feature local wine and food pairings, world-class entertainment and silent auctions showcasing luxury products as well as traditional champagne divot stomps hosted by Oak Mountain winery.
Charitable organizations who have decided to hold their events at the polo field include, but are not limited to, SAFE, Temecula valley Theatre Foundation, Humanity of Justice Foundation, Temecula Valley Women's Club, DAVI- Camp del Corazon, Travis Roy Foundation and Riverside Medical Foundation.
Temecula Valley Polo Club will hold practice matches on Friday evenings at 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm. Wine from the De Portola Wine Trail will be sold by the glass or by the bottle with a choice of over 10 wines. Saturday matches begin at 11:30am until 2:30pm. General Admission tickets are $10.00 and VIP tickets are $25.00. Wine club members of the DePortola Wine Trail wineries are offered incentives to come for the day, or join as a social member.
